SO WHAT IS THE REBELLE RALLY?
It brings together women from all over the world with a common love - overlanding and adventure. While some teams have been competing globally for years, others are just starting out. But, it's not a race. This rally is based on high score wins (the opposite of most rallies) and we will be judged on our ability to navigate to check points varying in difficulty from green to blue to black within certain time frames over 8 days across the Nevada and California desert. We will be tested physically, mentally and emotionally. Accuracy of our headings, ability to manage our time and our capacity to judge and calculate distance will determine how well we perform. We will need to be in tune with our surroundings, our vehicle and each other. Oh and did we mention - no GPS? That's right, we will be navigating across over 2000kms from check point to check point with nothing but a topographical map and a compass.
AS WE PUT OUR SKILLS TO THE TEST.
But, why do we want to Rebelle?
"I love overlanding and the incredible experiences had while exploring lesser known routes and territories. The Rebelle is an incredible opportunity to be inspired by and connect with other adventurous women and to hone my own skills as a navigator and driver for the next adventure."
- Penny Dale
"I’m a stay-at-home mother to Irish-twin daughters, 3 and 4 years old. They help fuel my sense of adventure and thirst for life. As soon as I read about the Rebelle I knew I was going to compete. I've always been quite competitive and if other women could do it, so could I!"
